The Alpine Insider is Back!

Welcome to the 2021/22 and second full season of the Alpine Insider! While some of the Alpine races have kicked off with an early start, this coming Thanksgiving weekend sees the Alpine season in full swing with the Women taking to the course in Killington, VT, and features the start of the Cross Country and Biathlon seasons. There are also some additions to the Alpine Insider that I hope you’ll enjoy. Take a look below…

New and Improved Alpine Insider Home Page!

The Alpine Insider Home Page now features 2021/22 race schedules for Alpine, Cross Country & Biathlon! Just click and scroll through. Note that during the season dates and times may be adjusted for various reasons, but usually weather and snow conditions.

Alpine Insider now features the Arc City podcast!

A new feature of the Alpine Insider will be a direct link to the Arc City podcast hosted by US Alpine Team member Jimmy Krupka! Each time a new podcast is released, you’ll see it here. Jimmy provides unique insight into the world of competitive alpine skiing featuring a variety of A-lister guests each podcast. Check out the most recent episodes at https://www.arccity.org/podcast and Stay tuned!

US Alpine Team kickoff event!

Copper Mountain (CO) – The US Men’s and Women’s Alpine kicked off the season with a meet and greet and rally. Team members are ready for the new season with eyes toward the Beijing Olympics in February. Due to a training accident two weeks earlier, downhiller and Massachusetts native Alice Merryweather will be sitting out the season and miss her shot at the Olympics. Look for my upcoming interview with Keely Cashman coming late November in SkiRacing.com. Funny when I asked veteran downhiller Bryce Bennett if he was excited about the upcoming Olympics his reply was: “Heck I’d rather win Hannenkahm” (famous downhill race in Kitzbuel, Austria).

Welcome to our new gear partner MagSkiTie.com!

These are fully customizable with your team logo, name, or other graphic and are available as traditional straps or as magnetic straps. Check out the website at http://www.magskitie.com. And if you do let them know you saw this at the Alpine Insider!
